Hi, I’m Avery Sanders — hopeless romantic, recovering kitchen disaster, and the slightly flour-dusted creator of the Whispering Pines Bakery series.

I write the small-town love stories I wish I could step into myself: the ones where a nervous newcomer walks into a cozy Arkansas mountain bakery, falls for the guy behind the counter (or the rival across the street), and discovers that home, family, and happily-ever-after all taste like fresh cinnamon rolls and pine-scented air. Expect swoony meet-cutes, found-family chaos that’ll make you tear up, festival sweetness, holiday fake-dating magic, and just the right amount of open-door spice to leave you blushing between bites.

Living in the beautiful Ozarks myself, I steal every bit of inspiration from real small-town life… and my many spectacular baking fails. My kitchen has seen more dramatic flour explosions and tragic cookie batches than any of my heroines’ meet-cutes. But hey — if I can survive midnight stress-baking and a smoke detector that thinks it’s my co-author, I can definitely give my characters the perfect (and perfectly steamy) happy endings they deserve.

When I’m not at my laptop plotting kisses or wiping powdered sugar off my keyboard, you’ll find me hiking pine-covered trails with an embarrassingly large coffee in hand, daydreaming up the next batch of trouble for my favorite couples.
